What a race! so dusty! We boxed above our weight on Sunday though and did the South East and Sigma Sports proud!
Oliver Curd got in the main break of the day, competing in the sprints comp (6th) but unfortunately punctured with about 40k to go and had to be serviced by Neutral Service as we could not get in behind, he lost too much time unfortunately, but still finished.
Isaac Wright, was in the second group most of the day and came in 19th, his best ride ever in his own words! Great ride, It took us until 22k to go to get behind this group and ran out of time to hand up a bottle to Issac as feed closed at 20k, luckily our plan to service from the car and feed zones meant we got enough bottles to him.
Finn Dunton, had 3 punctures, the first one after 30k but rode mega strong to actually make it back to the bunch with some help from us in the team car, one of only a few that did that early on. Burnt a lot of matches though doing this, but still rode strong to finish despite 2 further punctures, i think he can top 20 at this race with a good day.
Oliver Richardson, rode strong until about half distance when distanced into smaller groups but rode on to finish.
Issac Dutton got distanced just before half distance but was determined to finish, picked up rider along the way and did finish just outside the the time limit so as a DNF, his first race over 100 miles.
Sam Long, got distanced about 10k before Isaac and was unable to get in a decent group and got pulled on first time pull section.
Thanks to Glen and Stuart for the photos.

What a great performance, riders did themselves and our region proud – thank you and Chappeau. 👏🏻 🚴🏼‍♂️ 🏁 💜 Huge thanks to Stuart McGhee, Team Manager for pulling this together and for managing the team to such an impressive performance. Thank you also to Sigma Sport who generously supported the team with kit and logistics.
